Sit Johnson a couple games give him the extra time. Big guy has been injury prone, no need to push things this early in the season. Hopefully Barrie can re-establish himself this weekend.

100% agreed. Its a long season, let EJ take a game off, let Barrie get in, he sounds hungry. Also love the brash honest opinion by Duchene so refreshing.

Cam ward out 4-6 weeks. Canes current goalies are Justin Peters and some prospect due to khudobins(way SP) injury as well.

Why is it that this terrifies me...perhaps because it always seems like the random call up goalie you never heard of, or long forgotten backup, plays the game of their life against the Avs.

Ditto. The Avs tend to falter in front of back ups or third-stringers and give them a win on a silver platter. By all means, this is a must win for them. They need lots of shots and goals, and for Tyson Barrie to not mess up much if he plays. Varly needs this one more than any member of the Avalanche, too.

Carolina has too many offensive weapons just think we can beat up an AHL goalie, hopefully the D-Core plays strong for Varly and the offense gets the job done.

I have a feeling duchene is going to have a monster night

good pass by staal, even better shot, Avs (wilson) got caught flat footed, tough break for Varly but he has been solid again, nice to have the shots down for him for once.

Hes not done yet, hes got one more point in him.

Also I wouldnt mind them healthy scratching Wilson to get Barrie back in the game, I can see that happening next game

Top of the league, baby!

Their next game vs. the Jets is going to be such a test of endurance, though.

good game by the boys against a good even though banged up Carolina team, those goals against Varly were pretty ones, really had no chance on them based on the passing play.

Duchene was a beast again, Love the stastny line now, they really are gelling together. every game I get more and more impressed with our D-Core, they just are all heart and soul, nothing flashy about them, just a lot of hard working boys giving it their all for Patty Roy.

Johnson is looking like a number 1 and leader of that core, Hejda is just under rated and solid. Sarich is getting the job done. Guenin and Benoit are ridiculous when you consider their lack of NHL experience and cap hits, credit management on those guys. Wilson is the only blah withe the core right now...hes playing ok but really he has moved down to 6th on the depth chart...I would give Barrie a shot soon over him.
